In the Future Century (F.C.), due to severe pollution of the Earth, humanity has moved to space colonies and established new countries such as New China, New Japan, and New America. Although the countries still hold territories on Earth, they have been severely neglected. To avoid war, the nations decided to determine the ruling rights over the Earth through a Gundam Fight high-stakes tournament. The tournament occurs every four years, with Earth as the arena. Each country (colony) sends a representative to compete one-on-one with Gundams until only one victor remains. The winning country gains administrative authority over all colonies and the Earth for four years, until another country wins in the next Gundam showdown. Meanwhile, the residents living on Earth must endure the destruction caused by the battles between the country representatives. The story begins in the sixtieth year of the Future Century, coinciding with the start of the thirteenth Gundam Fight tournament. The protagonist, from New Japan, is pursued by his brother, who stole the three major theories of DG cells—self-replication, self-regeneration, and self-evolution—leading him to participate in this Gundam duel, thus unfolding the story.
