The story begins in mythology, with the Fire Dragon God reincarnating in the Zhu family, whose members name him Zhong Ba, later known as Zhu Yuanzhang (played by He Jiajin). The thousand-year-old tortoise is reincarnated as Chen Youliang (played by Li Zhixi), and both fall in love with their junior sister Peiyao (played by Tianxin). Although Peiyao’s heart belongs to Zhong Ba, she ends up marrying Chen Youliang due to his scheming.
