The underappreciated director Kim Dong-soo (played by Kim Sang-kyung) spends every day lingering in front of the theater, engrossed in his own thoughts. Recently, he happened to watch a film by a friend and feels that the storyline mirrors his own life. Meanwhile, he encounters the female lead of the movie, Choi Young-sil (played by Yoon Ji-won). Later, on his way to a gathering of filmmakers, Dong-soo runs into Choi Young-sil again. Young-sil is being asked for autographs by fans, and Dong-soo finally gathers the courage to approach her.
