The story continues from "Detective C." The detective (played by Aaron Kwok) has his crime-solving abilities fully proven, and his friend Feng Ze (played by Lau Chak-chi) also feels proud. However, Feng Ze still struggles within the police department and is assigned under the ambitious Officer Lu (played by Tam Yiu-man). Shortly after Feng Ze's transfer, a series of murders occur in the jurisdiction with four victims who have no connection, and the murderer has left conspicuous clues at the scene. The detective assists Feng Ze, and proposes various possibilities for the suspect under Officer Lu's disdain, ultimately narrowing it down to a schizophrenic patient. During the investigation, the suspect Liang Wai-yeh (played by Cheung Chi-fai) triggers an episode and takes a hostage. The detective cleverly captures him but sadly discovers that Liang is not the real culprit. Soon after, the detective is threatened by Officer Lu's subordinates, and Feng Ze is injured in a collision. In a fit of rage, the detective confronts Officer Lu, only to be told that this suspect's aggression exceeds his imagination...
