The new students of Katase High School, "A-Bian" Hoshino Yu (voiced by Katayama Fukujuro) and "Laughing Master" Tsukimoto Makoto (voiced by Uchiyama Kouki), are friends from the same ping pong dojo. A-Bian has a flamboyant personality, loves to talk and laugh, and due to his confidence in his skills, he hardly pays any attention to his peers and seniors in the ping pong club. In contrast, Laughing Master is reserved and calm, seemingly lacking any strong desire to win; subconsciously, he prefers to be unnoticed, like a robot. To prepare for the upcoming high school league, the ping pong club advisor, Teacher Koizumi (voiced by Yokoyama Yusaku), selects Tsukimoto for training. Meanwhile, at the nearby Tsujido Academy High School, the expelled Chinese national player Kong Wenge (voiced by Wen Yexing) transfers in, boasting his talent and looking down on the less skilled Japanese players. On the other hand, the talented players of Kaiou Academy High School are also gearing up for the upcoming competition. In a fierce battle at the ping pong table… This film is adapted from the original work by Taiyou Matsumoto.
