Masayoshi Nakata (voiced by Yuuma Uchida) is a mature and composed university student whose life goal is to become a civil servant. Filled with a strong sense of justice, he always gives off a very positive energy. One night, Nakata encounters a foreigner who is being harassed by a drunkard, later learning that his name is Richard (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), renowned for his exceptional gem appraisal skills, earning him the title of "Walking Gem." Richard runs a jewelry store, and Nakata possesses a gem that has been treasured by his grandmother for many years. When he brings the gem to Richard for appraisal, it unexpectedly uncovers a long-hidden secret of his grandmother. Seizing this opportunity, Richard invites Nakata to work at his shop, leading Nakata into a whole new world he has never experienced before.
