The first chapter of a three-part series adapted from the smartphone game app "Chain Chronicle," which will be shown in theaters prior to the TV anime broadcast. The far-off continent of Ygdd is divided into several territories, each having its own king. Although there are skirmishes among the various factions, the balance of power is maintained by the "Alliance King" chosen at a roundtable conference of the kings. However, one day, a dark monster known as the "Black Army" appears in Ygdd. Directed by Masashi Kudō, who worked on character design and animation direction for "Bleach: The Movie."
