In this world, besides humans and youkai, there exists another species—the ancestral youkai born from the union of humans and youkai. Due to their impure bloodlines, ancestral youkai are often ostracized or even hunted by their own kind. Thus, a "youkai mansion" dedicated to providing shelter for ancestral youkai was established. Within the mansion, each ancestral youkai is assigned a guardian known as an SS, and the story of Shirakiin Rinrinchou (voiced by Hinata Rina) and Yowokami Amaterasu (voiced by Nakamura Yuuichi) begins here. In the youkai mansion, there are also other interesting residents. The calm and laid-back Hajizuka Ren (voiced by Hoshi Soichiro) and his guardian Yukikobana (voiced by Hinata Youko); the delinquents Watanuki Masayuki (voiced by Eguchi Takuya) and his guardian Natsume Zankatsu (voiced by Miyano Mamoru); the wild and somewhat perverse Aonin Kaen (voiced by Sugita Tomokazu) and his unfortunate guardian Suketsune (voiced by HanazawaKana).
