Guan Qing (played by Yao Chen), though successful in her career, faces insurmountable problems in her marriage, and often feels sad about the gap between her career and her marriage. Guan Chu (played by Ye Yiyun), living in a foreign country, harbors a beautiful dream of becoming a ballet dancer, but reality is harsh; she can only work as a waitress to make ends meet. Guan Hao (played by Chen He) is a freelance photographer, lost in confusion about life. The four siblings of the Guan family share the same bloodline but scatter to different places under the guidance of fate, seeing each other rarely. As their father, Guan Zhiguo (played by Zhang Guoli) gradually realizes the importance of familial bonds and the difficulty of maintaining them after his wife’s death, he decides to take the initiative and embarks on a journey to visit his four children.
