The story takes place in Macedonia in 1941, where promising football player Kosta (played by Sasko Kocev) encounters the beautiful heiress Rebecca (played by Katarina Ivanovska), and the two are quickly drawn to each other. However, their relationship faces strong opposition from Rebecca's family. Undeterred by her family's objections, Rebecca resolutely leaves the safety of her home and marries Kosta. Kosta's team carries the hopes of the entire nation, and every Macedonian wishes for the team to achieve victory in the upcoming matches. To enhance the team's strength, the manager hires the famous coach Rudolf (played by Richard Sammel). Before long, war breaks out, and the Nazis occupy Macedonia, putting the team led by Rudolf in a battle not just against powerful opponents but also against Nazi brutality.
