In this world, there exist beings of different forms known as "youmu." The profession that seeks to eliminate these youmu is that of the "Spirit Warriors." The protagonist of this story, Akihito Kanbara (voiced by KENN), appears to be an ordinary second-year high school student, but he is actually a "half-youmu" born from the union of a human and a youmu. Possessing immortality, he encounters a girl named Mirai Kuriyama (voiced by Risa Taneda) on the rooftop of their school at dusk, who surprisingly attempts to jump off. To his astonishment, this seemingly ordinary glasses-wearing girl is a Spirit Warrior capable of manipulating blood. Mirai Kuriyama, with her special abilities, attracts the attention of the prestigious Spirit Warrior family, the Nase clan. Mizuki Nase (voiced by Minori Chihara), who is in the same literature club as Akihito, is the second daughter of the Nase family, and she advises Akihito to stay away from Mirai. Amidst the rampaging youmu, the lone Spirit Warriors, and the rare half-youmu, an unusual fantasy story unfolds in the realm beyond the boundary.
