Golf Club manager Pan Zhiwen (played by Lau Ching-Wan) has been married to his wife Zhang Meiying (played by Jiang Yi) for nearly seven years. Their life is mundane and tedious. Although he longs for a "daring new life," his timid nature prevents him from acting on it, making him essentially a kind-hearted little man. This time, Meiying is going on a trip out of town, and Zhiwen sees it as a great opportunity, so he decides to seek some excitement during this "marital vacation" to soothe the immense desires he's suppressed for over six years. One night in a pub, Zhiwen encounters the alluring girl Zhao Jing (played by Yi Qing), igniting his suppressed desires. Just as he prepares to make his move on Jing, he learns through their interactions that she has a tragic background, and her reckless behavior is merely a rebellious response to her loneliness. Zhiwen's sympathy for her grows, and reluctantly, he has to abandon his desire for possession. At the same time, Zhiwen runs into his first love Zhang Caibing (played by Maggie Cheung), who has become a successful career woman. She is carefree, surrounded by countless male companions, and has an ambiguous relationship with a fitness coach, Wil (played by An Zhijie). However, despite her fiery exterior, she still harbors feelings for Zhiwen. He quickly rekindles his love for Bing but simultaneously feels guilty towards his wife. However, at this moment, a crisis in his family begins to unfold in unexpected ways…
