The Inamura family, living in Tokyo, has a glamorous and enviable luxurious exterior. However, there are many unstable seeds buried among the family members. The head of the family, Daisuke Inamura (played by Yasunori Danda), is the head of internal medicine at a hospital; at home, he is submissive to his wife and has a mistress outside; his wife Haruko (played by Kimiko Yo) is proud and overbearing, with a tense relationship with her lonely mother-in-law; the three sons are completely unruly, smoking and stealing money, each showing off their abilities.
