The story follows "Lost Ones (迷い人)," who come from a parallel world of Japan and once brought a disaster capable of destroying the world, necessitating their secret execution. "Executioner (処刑人)" Menou, who makes a living executing, encounters a Japanese girl, Akari, one day but fails to execute her due to Akari's unique ability. In search of a way to definitively kill Akari, the two embark on a journey together, gradually changing their relationship. The original novel is written by Sato Masato, with illustrations by Niritz, serialized since 2019, and won the grand prize at the 11th GA Bunko Awards.
