Hannah Merten (Mina Tander) is a doctor at a hospital in her thirties. Although she has a successful career, no worries about food, and a lovely daughter named Lia (Lina Köhlert), her marriage to her husband has reached a dead end, leaving her physically and emotionally exhausted. One night, the hospital receives a critically ill patient who has overdosed on sleeping pills, and that patient is Hannah's childhood friend Clarissa (Laura de Boer). After a long separation, they confide in each other about their unhappiness and decide to temporarily escape from reality and return to the seaside island where they have countless joyful childhood memories. Singing all the way, Hannah arrives at their destination with her daughter and Clarissa, but for some reason, she seems to have forgotten another childhood friend she met there, Maria (Mia Kasalo), and has vague memories of a dark past. However, as fate would have it, she must rediscover the forgotten people and things here...
