Human civilization has become abandoned, and the people who remain in the vast urban ruins depend on the technology-monopolizing nobility for survival. Among the numb and desensitized, wolves, thought to be extinct, confuse people's eyes by appearing in human form. They are searching for the lost "Paradise," a world completely ruled by wolves, where on nights of the full moon, the maiden of the "Moon Flower" will open the gate to "Paradise." One day, a strangely dressed girl named Jessa appears before four wolves, Quiba, Zmai, and others. With their innate sense, the wolf tribe understands that she is the "Moon Flower" girl they have been searching for. At the same time, various noble factions send armies to compete for Jessa. Avoiding the pursuits of the nobility and traversing the city inhabited by the fallen humans and wolves, snowfields, jungles, and wilderness devoid of people, the young wolf pack unhesitatingly follows Jessa on the path to find "Paradise!" Fuji TV began broadcasting on January 6, 2003. Produced by the team behind COWBOY BEBOP, directed by Tensai Okamura, who also worked on the design for "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and directed "Stink Bomb" in Otomo Katsuhiro’s "MEMORIES." The visuals are exquisitely crafted, and Yoko Kanno's music is fantastic, making it one of the best animations of 2003 in my opinion.
