This is a world where academic performance determines everything. In this world, those who score high on tests can naturally live a carefree and happy life, while those who fail face nothing but tragic punishment. Such strict discipline has automatically divided people into two factions—L types, who prioritize real ability and succeed with genuine skills, and C types, who rely on underhanded cheating techniques to win. Of course, purely L types or C types cannot thrive amidst the increasingly fierce competition in exams; only when the two types form a partnership can they possibly achieve ultimate victory. Our protagonist, Zhuge Muming (voiced by Yamauchi Tomohiro), is a typical C type.
