The story takes place in 2029, in Japan, which falls into chaos after being attacked by a virus. A violent organization called "GHQ" takes full control, and the government gradually becomes a puppet. In such a tumultuous environment, Ouma Shu (voiced by Kaji Yuuki) is just an ordinary high school student living his mundane life, until a girl named Inori Yuzuriha (voiced by Kanemoto Hisako) appears before him. Inori's true identity is a member of the "Funeral Parlor," an organization that continuously engages in dangerous and brutal warfare to regain Japan's self-governance from GHQ. Under the guidance of the organization's leader, Gai Tsutsugami (voiced by Nakamura Yuuichi), Shu becomes a member of the organization and meets colleagues like Ayase Shinomiya (voiced by Hanazawa Kana) and Tsugumi (voiced by Taketatsu Ayana). As battles escalate, various signs indicate that Shu seems to possess mysterious powers, and no one knows the extent of the powerful existence hiding behind many enemies…
