In a mysterious corner of a vast world, there exist enormous, bottomless caves. It is said that various monsters and treasures are hidden within, and the deeper one ventures, the rarer the knowledge and sights become. It is this endless charm that attracts many "cave explorers" to brave the cursed dangers and venture into the abyss. The lowest-ranked Red Whistle, Riko (voiced by Tomita Miyu), lives in an orphanage where they are trained to explore the abyss and bring back treasures to hand over. One day, Riko accidentally discovers a highly advanced robot in the abyss, which she then brings back to the orphanage and names Reg (voiced by Ise Mariya). Interestingly, Reg is deeply confused about his identity as a robot and knows nothing about his origins. In search of Reg's identity and to find the whereabouts of her mother, who is a White Whistle, Riko and her companions set off deeper into the abyss... This film is based on the manga created by Japanese author Tsukushi Akihito.
