My grandmother (played by Liu Wei) was in school during the time of the Japanese invasion when the Japanese often came to capture patriotic students, most of whom never returned after being taken. One day, my grandmother was targeted by the Japanese and, in a panic, hid in a large wooden box that was lifted onto a train by the Japanese soldiers.
