My grandmother (played by Liu Wei) was in school during the time of the Japanese invasion when the Japanese often came to capture patriotic students, most of whom never returned after being taken. One day, my grandmother was targeted by the Japanese and, in a panic, hid in a large wooden box that was lifted onto a train by the Japanese soldiers. When the train reached the mountainous area, it was attacked by guerrilla fighters, and the captain handed the wooden box to a farmer (played by Guo Da) who was driving a donkey cart back to his village. Unfortunately, they ran into a squad of Japanese soldiers. Cleverly deceiving the search, the farmer was forced to lead them into Shiqiao Village.
