Detailed introduction

This film (drama)Also known asАтлантида,is aUkraineProducerwomen sex,At2019Released in year 。The dialogue language isUkrainian, English,Current Douban rating6.9(For reference only)。
In 2025, a year after the war ended, Ukrainian soldier Serhiy returns to reality. The days after trauma are not easy; his factory supervisor looks down on him, comrades take their own lives, and he faces unemployment from the factory closure. Even the iron at home is useless, so he can only vent by shooting at human-shaped targets in the wild. Unemployed, he serendipitously joins the "Black Tulip" project, which seeks to excavate soldiers' remains, and meets volunteer Katya. As they dig in barren wastelands, it feels as if they're also unearthing their own trauma, opening the decayed flesh eroded by war, hoping to find the courage to survive. The war between Ukraine and Russia has brought unprecedented ecological disaster, and the director uses unique visual language, stunning scenes, and cinematography to create a theatrical stage for the characters. In areas covered with landmines, abandoned mines, and polluted lands and waters, it highlights the insignificance and helplessness of people facing the cold post-war reality. The film cleverly integrates works by former Soviet director Deodatov, performing a satirical and humorous take on the cold tones of life. "In Ukraine, you have to be an optimist." — Valentyn Vasyanovych
