"The House of 81 in Beijing 2" is based on the true story of the notorious underground palace of The House of 81 in Beijing, one of the four major haunted houses of the East. At the end of the Republic of China, amidst turmoil, military warlord Zhang Zhi Sheng (played by Zhang Zhiling) is forced to marry the daughter of a major warlord, Ji Jincui (played by Zhong Xintong). Strange occurrences soon plague the household, creating an atmosphere of fear and unease. Shortly after, a series of "corpse baby cases" arise in the capital, all pointing towards the warlord's first wife, Niu Menghe (played by Mei Ting). She then mysteriously disappears, and overnight, the House of 81 in Beijing is massacred, leaving behind a dilapidated haunted house. A hundred years later, cultural heritage restorer Song Teng uncovers a large number of baby bones and eerie talismans while restoring the ancient house. Blood-stained old stories seem to pull everyone into an abyss, as past grievances and entanglements reemerge, and the tale of the tormented souls seeking revenge begins...
