The medieval fairy tale "The Arabian Nights," set against an Arab backdrop, has been adapted for the screen several times. This film, produced in the UK, is a larger-scale remake of an old classic. The storyline remains largely unchanged, focusing on the evil prime minister who abuses his power, while the people wish to rebel but are powerless. A prince from another country, in order to marry the country's princess, travels to a deserted island to retrieve the magically potent yellow rose. With the rose's magic, he leads the people to defeat the evil prime minister and becomes the new king of Baghdad. However, the film makes innovative efforts in smaller details, such as depicting the giant emerging from the magic bottle as a "gas man" swaying in the air, creating a particularly unique visual effect. The director employs new sci-fi techniques to create fresh and lively entertainment effects in many scenes, preventing it from feeling clichéd.
