The accidental murder of his son plunges Olivier (played by Olivier Gourmet) into deep pain, and he will remember this bastard for the rest of his life, even though he was just a boy and is about to pay the price for his actions. Time flies, and five years later, Olivier encounters a boy named Francis (played by Morgan Marinne), who is none other than the killer of his son. Francis does not recognize Olivier, but this reunion pains Olivier's heart and awakens long-repressed emotions within him. After a series of twists and turns, Francis becomes Olivier's "student," learning carpentry from him. As time passes, the lonely Francis sees in Olivier the shadow of a father, while the tormented Olivier chooses to reveal the devastating secret.
