In 1940, Wu Zhongyi, the independent battalion commander of the anti-Japanese base at Baodu Gua in northern Shandong, was urgently tasked to form a military working team codenamed "Wolf Warrior" to protect the new base and engage in a battle of wits and courage against the Japanese invaders.
