Stanley is a lively and cheerful little boy who is likable and talented. He has a good rapport with his classmates due to his quirky personality. However, Stanley has one noticeable trait: he never brings a lunchbox to school. During lunch breaks, he always finds excuses to avoid his classmates' mealtime, wandering the streets to kill time and drinking cold water to fill his stomach. He weaves various stories to address his friends' questions about it, and well-meaning classmates decide to share their lunch with Stanley to help him through this tough time. However, the school's bully, Mr. Cardo, is another person who never brings a lunch. Out of anger that he cannot share the delicious lunches brought by the students because of Stanley, he scolds and humiliates Stanley before ordering him not to come to school without a lunchbox. Surprisingly, Stanley does indeed not show up at school for many days, and as time goes by, everyone grows more worried about him, and their dissatisfaction with Mr. Cardo increases.
