In Datong folklore, there exists a beautiful legend. The story takes place during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, when the young Zhengde Emperor ascended to the throne. Due to his playful nature, the powerful eunuch Liu Jin took control, colluding with the Hu people, and scheming to usurp power. The Empress Dowager and a group of ministers were deeply worried about the fate of the nation. The Zhengde Emperor, under the pretense of admiring Datong's local customs, secretly arrived there in disguise with his attendant, Xiao Chong'er, to investigate the evidence of Liu Jin's collusion. Unexpectedly, while dining at Feng Lin Ge, Zhengde accidentally got involved in a murder case and met the proprietress, Sister Feng.
