On the beautiful Gulangyu Island, there is an inn named "Monkey Year, Horse Month." Despite its quiet business, the owner Hu Fan (played by Zhang Lei) insists on running it, and his past remains largely unknown. He keeps his silence even to the service staff member Ma Yue (played by Dong Lifan).
