In 1970s Colombia, young Rapaye falls in love with the beautiful girl Seida from his clan, but her parents demand an astonishing dowry as a challenge. Determined not to give up on the one he loves, Rapaye decides to take risks and starts a marijuana business. His drug trafficking career is smooth-sailing, but the accompanying bloodshed comes with immense wealth. Rapaye slowly builds his influence, but betrayal by friends and the collapse of tradition lead to the gradual disintegration of his world... Ten years in the making, with sections of narrative divided into chapters, the director and producer of "Dreaming of the Amazon" jointly create a magical crime epic, blending the author's style into the genre framework. Reflecting on the golden era of Colombian drug lords, material life encroaches upon the wilderness, and through the tragic gang narrative, it depicts the fading of the traditional spirit of the Wayuu people amidst sex, violence, and power. Under the smoke of gunfire, the buried lament of souls becomes lost forever.
