This is a timeless kite legend, a historical tale that is both grand and humorous. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the Ming Emperor, gravely ill, entrusted his will to three loyal ministers, instructing them to assist the young prince, who was just starting to govern, in taking the throne. He bestowed a royal seal that could only be opened with the combination of the three seals, allowing access to the late emperor's secret edicts. However, on the day the Ming Emperor passed away, a storm brewed. One of the three ministers, Lord Wen, was framed by the other two ministers, Eunuch Liu and Prime Minister Pan, leading him to disfigure himself and hide among the commoners, leaving the two traitors restless and uneasy. Eighteen years later, as the small emperor's regency approached, Eunuch Liu and Prime Minister Pan, who had been searching for the royal seal, finally focused their efforts on a certain town in Jiangnan, sending their men to investigate. In this town lived Lord Cui, a military governor, with his two daughters. One daughter, Jixiang, was naturally bold and outgoing, while the other, Ruyi, was as beautiful as a celestial being, excelling in music, chess, painting, and calligraphy. On a fortuitous day, the two sisters went to the Miaofeng Mountain's Wuliang Temple to make wishes, while the two young masters from the Fang family, following their father's orders, also came to this place to evade disaster. To express his affection, Wensheng, under the guise of Daoist priest Feifei (General Shentu under Lord Wen), interpreted the omens for the sisters. A love sparked between Wensheng and Ruyi, feeling regret for their past meetings, while Husheng and Jixiang fell into a misunderstanding that led to unrequited love. In a trap set by Lord Pan's son Pan An, Wensheng accidentally beat the disguised small emperor Zhu Xiaosan, who not only did not punish him but instead appointed him as the top scholar. Following the imperial decree, Fang Wensheng rode through the streets with Pan An's daughter, who often dressed as a man, Tianzhen, sharing one horse. This scene was seen by the displeased Ruyi, who felt annoyed. In front of the palace hall, a fierce battle ensued, where the chaos finally brought the thieves to justice.
