This is a century-old school, one of the city's model schools. The homeroom teacher of Class 9 in the third year of high school, "Fan Yiben" (played by Fang Zhongxin), leads the students through a series of stories during the final push for the college entrance exam. The drama is based on contemporary society's most typical real-life themes, focusing on various situations from four different families. It authentically reflects stories from various families commonly found in society, using the intense countdown phase of four students preparing for the college entrance exam as the main storyline. Ren Xue (played by Lu Yi) is the class monitor, forced by her father to study abroad, resulting in a fallout with him (played by Wu Gang) and her running away from home. Lin Ye (played by Qiao Qiao), Ren Xue's best friend, gives up on the college entrance exam due to her parents' divorce. He Fan (played by Wu Junyu) is the study committee member, who is defrauded by a scammer while his family prepares for college tuition. His father, He Jianghai (played by Da Qin), is detained for injuring someone while protecting his son, increasing their financial pressure. Qin Peng (played by Tan Jiexi) is the king of poor grades, confident and fond of pulling pranks, but his essay straying off topic puts his college entrance exam scores at risk. As these four students face the brink of giving up on the exam, Teacher "Fan Yiben's" unique educational methods and the students' own efforts ultimately resolve various issues stemming from their families and themselves. The film also explores the budding emotions among students in the throes of adolescence, as well as the "conflicts" and "struggles" between rebellious students and their teachers. It realistically portrays common issues in contemporary families while reflecting the heartfelt concerns of parents and the disconnect between students and parents today. It also elucidates Teacher "Fan Yiben's" unique teaching style.
