Bar security guard Doug Glatt (played by Seann William Scott) is strong and somewhat dull-witted. During a hockey game, he violently attacks a player who is booing the dissatisfied crowd. His act gains public attention after his friend films and shares it, leading him to accidentally join a local hockey team, starting from scratch as the team's enforcer.
