"Minority Opinion" is based on the novel of the same name by writer Sun Yalan and is adapted from a homicide case that occurred in 2009 in Yongsan, South Korea. The film tells the story of the male protagonist, who reluctantly works as a lawyer and represents the defendant Park Jae-ho, who killed a police officer during a protest against redevelopment. The protagonist exhausts all efforts to defend the defendant and tries to uncover the complex truth behind the case. The court-appointed lawyer Jin-won, played by Yoon Kye-sang, has a calm personality and a strong sense of justice, while Yoo Ha-jin plays Jin-won's senior, Dae-sik, a professional divorce litigation lawyer who wholeheartedly supports Yoon Kye-sang both mentally and materially. Kim Ok-bin plays a journalist from the social news department, who is also a woman with a strong sense of justice. The addition of notable supporting actors like Lee Kyung-young, Jang Kwang, Kim Ui-seong, and Kwon Hae-hyo, along with fan support for the original novel, makes this film highly anticipated.
