During the Spring and Autumn Period, the King of Chu was tyrannical and ordered over a hundred blacksmiths to forge an unparalleled divine weapon. However, the blacksmiths failed, enraging the king, who then unleashed a massacre. In desperation, Feng Huzi advised the king to summon Ganjiang, a disciple of the swordsmith master Ouyezi, who had withdrawn from the world. Feng Huzi sought Ganjiang's help by bargaining with the lives of the blacksmiths in Chu, forcing Ganjiang to leave his wife and children. He took the forged Moye sword to the palace of the King of Chu, never to return. Ganjiang's wife, Moye, lived in seclusion with their son Chi for many years. Yet Chi could never come to terms with his father's death. After his mother passed away, he took up Ganjiang's sword and set off on a quest for revenge. Along the way, he witnessed the suffering of the common people under the king's tyranny and realized the importance of sacrificing personal interests for the greater good. He decided to confront the king alone, but a series of unexpected events plunged the young Chi into deeper despair. As he matured, the young swordsman Chi took up the divine Ganjiang sword and fought his way into the royal city to slay the tyrant.
