Ruben Tishkoff (played by Elliott Gould), who is old in age but young at heart, invests all his savings to partner with Willy Bank (played by Al Pacino) in a casino hotel. However, he forgets that in Las Vegas, a city full of bizarre sights and rampant deception, vigilance is crucial. Bank has thrived in the gambling scene for years, using cunning tactics to navigate it successfully. He swindles Ruben out of his money and takes control of the casino. The overwhelming blow leaves old Ruben bedridden and unable to recover.
