The story tells of "North Leg King" Tan Daoliang, who is injured due to the provocation of "Earth Leg King" Peng Gang's brother. He later meets "South Leg King" Xia Guangli and learns the Southern style "Mo family leg" under her master's guidance, combining the strengths of both north and south. In a bid to monopolize the title of "Leg King," Peng kills Xia's master. Tan and Xia, motivated by revenge for their master, join forces to kill Peng, making him realize just before his death that no single sect can dominate the world. The film is directed by the renowned Taiwanese kung fu film director Li Zuonan and is a representative work of Tan Daoliang's kung fu films from the 1970s, showcasing his impressive leg skills. The plot is lighthearted and humorous, with action choreography that is natural and fluid, emphasizing the practice and techniques of leg methods, filled with various leg tricks and brilliant fight scenes. Tan Daoliang and Xia Guangli's leg skills are exquisite and visually pleasing, especially the continuous kicks on one foot, which are more agile than hands. It is delightful to see them kicking with composure, often lifting their feet high in front of their opponents or even placing them on their opponents' heads, akin to an elder playing with a baby, extremely graceful. Xia Guangli impresses with her beautiful and difficult leg techniques, and if she were competing today, she probably wouldn't lose to the so-called number one female action star, Michelle Yeoh. Tan Daoliang showcases all of his strengths, with his left leg continuous strikes slapping the opponent's face like a slap before delivering a swift spinning kick, which is unprecedented and astonishing. Peng Gang's Earth Leg is equally eye-opening, executing various kicks while rolling and jumping on the ground, and it's rare to see anyone use so many leg techniques while lying on the ground. The three main actors each have distinct styles, fully displaying various leg techniques; the fight scenes are exciting and beautiful, filled with entertainment, and such an extensive showcase only occurs in Hong Kong films, making it an exceptional kung fu masterpiece!
