After excelling as a night guard at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, Larry (played by Ben Stiller) becomes the CEO of a small appliance company and even appears on television for an interview with a famous talk show host. His son admires him, and love follows him closely, basking in a season of success. However, this bliss doesn't last. Upon returning to his old haunt, he discovers that the museum director has decided to update the exhibits and move the outdated ones to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. This frustrates Larry, as he feels a responsibility to revive the museum's glory, so he decides to stay one more night as a guard to rally his old friends. In fact, after dealing with Roosevelt (played by Robin Williams), Lincoln, Napoleon, Ivan the Terrible, and Al Capone, he faces a fierce opponent—Carmen, the evil pharaoh of ancient Egypt. The two once again have a thrilling showdown at the museum during the night...
