During World War II, Casablanca was a crucial stop for those escaping Europe to America, filled with a mix of people and a tense atmosphere. Rick (played by Humphrey Bogart) is a mysterious businessman who runs a popular nightclub in Casablanca and possesses two valuable transit letters. One day, anti-Nazi Victor and his wife Ilsa (played by Ingrid Bergman) arrive at the nightclub, seeking to escape from Nazi persecution. Coincidentally, Rick discovers that Ilsa is his former lover. Their passionate romance was cut short by a misunderstanding. As the misunderstanding unravels, Rick and Ilsa's feelings inevitably reignite. The two transit letters in Rick’s possession can help Victor out of his predicament, but this raises the question of whether Ilsa should stay or leave, and where their love will go amid the political and ethical turmoil.
