Libby (Ashley Judd) and her husband Nick (Bruce Greenwood) have a strong relationship, raising their smart and adorable son Marty (Benjamin Weaver) together, and their happy life is a model of family happiness. However, suddenly, Nick mysteriously disappears, leaving behind a large amount of blood, and Libby is turned into a suspect and eventually ends up in prison. Libby entrusts Marty to her friend Angie (Annabeth Gish), while she struggles to clear her name with the help of fellow inmates Margaret (Roma Maffia) and Evelyn (Davenia McFadden). Six years pass in the blink of an eye. Officer Tavis (Tommy Lee Jones) becomes the guardian of the paroled Libby, who discovers that Nick not only hasn’t died but has assumed a new identity, living anonymously with their son and Angie. After experiencing double betrayal, Libby decides to fight back, and Nick will not sit idly by; a fierce battle filled with conspiracy and danger is about to unfold.
