The story takes place in the 1990s, where the protagonist Sam (played by Kristen Scott) is troubled by bullying at school due to her sexual orientation as a lesbian. However, in this predicament, she meets a sexy and charming female best friend, and they develop an intimate relationship, but her best friend rejects her kiss and stops her from making a move at the moment she responds. Shortly after, this female classmate starts dating a boyfriend, which makes Sam feel angry and disappointed. At a party, she is mistaken for a boy by an outgoing older girl and almost gets into an adventure. However, another lovely girl, Nicole (played by Kendra Spade), passes by, and through her acquaintance with Nicole, Sam gradually opens the door to exploring her sexual orientation and begins to accept and recognize her identity.
