Recently, a series of bizarre death events have occurred in Manhattan, and the main responsibility for these events surprisingly falls on an unsuspecting entomologist couple, Susan (Mira Sorvino) and Peter (Jeremy Northam). It turns out that to combat a pandemic that once ravaged Manhattan, Susan and Peter created an insect called "Judas." This artificial insect has no reproductive ability, but it can eliminate virus-carrying cockroaches. What the couple did not anticipate was an unknown mutation occurring inside Judas, which not only gave it the ability to reproduce but also allowed it to take on human forms to hunt, targeting none other than humans themselves. As the "parents" of Judas, Susan and Peter are duty-bound to eliminate them, and with the help of subway system expert Leonard (Charles S. Dutton), they set out to find Judas's underground lair.
