In a competition, Dan Millman (played by Scott Mechlowicz) performs a challenging ring routine but suffers a catastrophic leg injury upon landing. He suddenly wakes up, realizing it was all just a dream. At 3 AM, shaken, Millman goes out for some fresh air and unexpectedly meets an old man named Socrates (played by Nick Nolt e) at a gas station, and they become close friends despite their age difference. Millman is handsome and successful, which attracts many girls to him; however, he causes a rift with his friends after sleeping with a friend's girlfriend. He has always wanted to perform a difficult move, but his coach strongly opposes it for fear he might get hurt. When troubled, he talks with Socrates at the gas station. Yet, an unexpected car accident causes Millman to lose everything, fracturing nearly 100 bones in his feet, which devastates his gymnastics career. While lying in a hospital bed, Millman remembers Socrates. Under Socrates's guidance, Millman creates miracles by focusing all his energy...
