World War II has begun, leaving the whole world in ruins amidst smoke and gunfire, with people struggling desperately in the fires of war. After occupying France, the brutal Nazis began their insane massacre of the Jews. The only thought in the mind of the lucky survivor Shlaimo (played by Lionel Abelanski), who managed to escape the butcher's knife, is to inform the Jewish community in Shteidl about the horrific bloodbath. After hearing this news, the terrified villagers decide to flee as a community. They pool their resources to buy a train, and some dress up as German soldiers, pretending to escort the Jews to a concentration camp, hoping to deceive the enemy. The road ahead is filled with danger and crisis; can these naive villagers survive thanks to their tricks and wits?
