Zhu Xiurong (played by Gigi Leung) runs a sesame cake shop that is thriving and well-known throughout the capital. Despite her graceful beauty and cheerful personality, she has a very difficult blind mother (played by Wu Yunfang) at home, which has repeatedly frightened away suitors wanting to propose. As a result, Zhu Xiurong, nearing thirty, remains single, waiting for marriage in her parent's home.
