Xiao Dong (played by Huang Yucong) and Du Juan (played by Chen Xuanyu) are a young couple living in an urban village, facing some bumps in their lives. The local amusement park has closed down and transformed into a food court. To rebuild a small stage in the food court, Xiao Dong stays behind to work as a lake security guard for a while. During his time as a guard, he meets a little girl named Yuan Yuan who comes to release fish. Her arrival brings a touch of warmth to Xiao Dong’s monotonous job. Du Juan is a florist working at a flower shop, and her life is somewhat dull. She often visits a client, Mr. Long’s house to arrange flowers, and is attracted by his mysterious and elegant demeanor. Mr. Long seems to be hiding something, which gives Du Juan a unique charm. This adds a bit of anticipation and curiosity to her work. As the small stage reconstruction fails, Xiao Dong is dismissed and has to return home to help Du Juan run the "Clown Flower Shop." To attract customers, Du Juan has Xiao Dong dress up as a clown to deliver flowers. While delivering flowers, Xiao Dong often visits Yuan Yuan. It turns out that Yuan Yuan was once a dancer with a theater troupe but left the stage due to personal issues. She seems to be nostalgic about the stage, and this loneliness and regret resonate with Xiao Dong. In the lives of these four individuals, relationships slowly begin to misalign.
