Elementary school "liar" No. 1 (Li Guanyi) and No. 2 (Pan Qinyu) spend all their time together as best friends. Both of their families are incomplete; No. 1's mother is missing and his father (Ma Zhixiang) is mentally unstable, while No. 2 lives with his "selfish, unloving" grandmother (Mei Fang) and dislikes his uncle, who sends a crying baby sister for the grandmother to take care of. No. 2 loves K-pop star KADA the most, and No. 1 tries to cheer him up by teasing him with a KADA figure that "Mom sent from Hawaii." The two often team up to create lies to play pranks on classmates, and the teachers are at a loss, frequently punishing them by making them stay after school in the library. As a result, they create a colorful fairy tale world. In a bid to enter the "other dimension" they dream of living in, they try to simultaneously activate ten large fans to create a massive tornado; although this fails, they temporarily escape the pains of growing up with their eternally smiling classmate Lin Aili (Xu Qiwen). Hearing that if they ride the terrifying slide at a certain amusement park a hundred times they can fly to the "other dimension," they decide to start saving money by cutting back on expenses and promise to grow up together. However, No. 2 succumbs to the temptation of playing capsule toys to get a giant KADA, betraying their shared dream, which becomes the spark that fractures their friendship. Afterward, No. 1 makes a surprising decision to try to mend their friendship. Their behavior may be "troubled," but their emotions are true and ten times more intense than those of adults.
