In the increasingly arid grasslands of Inner Mongolia, the husband Batur (played by Batur) becomes disabled in both legs while digging a well, and his wife Tuya (played by Yu Nan) is hardworking, kind, and fiery in personality. She takes on the heavy burden of the family alone while caring for the children, but her long-term labor leads to lumbar spine degeneration, and there is even a risk of lower limb paralysis. To avoid further delaying Tuya, the bedridden Batur decides to get a divorce, and in the face of reality, Tuya can only agree. However, she insists on one condition for her remarriage: the new husband must support Batur along with her. Thus, Tuya begins a difficult journey of choosing a husband, and the additional condition causes many suitors to back off. Neighbour Sengge (played by Sengge) has always been afraid of his wife, who frequently leaves with other men and disappears. He develops feelings for Tuya... This film won the Golden Bear Award at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival in 2007.
