This is a patriotic war epic adapted from a true historical story of the Anti-Japanese United Army in Northeast China. It is directed by the new-generation war drama director Huang Wenli, who has created excellent productions such as "Wolf Poison Flower" and "Iron Walnut," featuring a strong cast including Zhu Yongteng, Wang Xinjun, Zhang Ying, Tianye, Bai Haitao, and Zhang Hui. After the September 18 Incident in 1931, the Communist Party of China organized anti-Japanese armed forces in Northeast China, and the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army fired the "first sound of gunfire" in our party's resistance against Japanese aggression, marking the beginning of a 14-year-long war of resistance. This TV drama tells a heroic and tragic legendary story from those arduous and extraordinary battles over the course of fourteen years. In the drama, General Yang Zhenshan of the Anti-Japanese United Army is betrayed by a traitor and unfortunately sacrifices his life. To undermine the morale of the anti-Japanese forces, the Japanese invaders cruelly beheaded the general. Led by Yang Baozhong, the soldiers of the Anti-Japanese United Army launch a thrilling "head retrieval" operation. In repeated struggles against the Japanese, countless ordinary people from Northeast China are mobilized, bravely fighting back, forming a mighty wave of resistance against Japanese aggression. The "head retrieval" operation, which runs throughout the story, is intense and suspenseful, constantly keeping the audience on edge for the protagonists, while also stirring their blood with the heroic deeds and patriotism of the characters.
