The innocent Skunk (Eloise Laurence) is an 11-year-old girl living with her father, brother, and an international student. One day, Skunk accidentally discovers her neighbor Bob (Rory Kinnear) beating a young man named Rick (Robert Emms), who Bob claims raped his daughter. However, to Skunk, Rick does not seem like a vicious criminal; despite being somewhat peculiar, his kindness shines through. Bob's violence doesn't abate after one beating; he appears to be planning something even more horrifying. Marking this violent incident as a turning point, the world as seen by Skunk suddenly unveils its true face, revealing the coldness and selfishness of adulthood right before her eyes.
