Hamdi (Jim Belushi) lives and works at an amusement park with his wife Ginny (Kate Winslet). Ginny has been married before, and they jointly raise the child she had with her ex-husband. One day, Hamdi's daughter Carolina (Juno Temple) finds her father; she had insisted on marrying a mob boss and is now being hunted by the mob. Although Hamdi is very angry at his daughter's past actions, Carolina's return to the right path clearly makes him want to repair their broken father-daughter relationship. Meanwhile, Ginny encounters beach lifeguard Mickey (Justin Timberlake), and sparks fly between them. Ginny wants to abandon everything to be with Mickey, but after seeing Carolina, Mickey finds himself unable to control his feelings for someone else.
